This policy explains how Severn Valuations Advisory Ltd ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
This is a simple, informational website. It does not set any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not use cookies to identify you or follow you across other sites. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required. The detail below explains this, and what a small number of technical services do.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as tracking pixels, local storage and device fingerprinting — do a comparable job. UK law now refers to these collectively as "storage and access technologies".
They are commonly used to make a site work, to remember your preferences, to measure how a site is used, or to serve advertising. Some are essential; most are not.
The cookies this website uses
We keep this website deliberately lean. At the date shown above, the position is as follows:

Third-party services and hosting
Two technical services are worth noting for transparency, even though neither places advertising or tracking cookies on your device:
- Web fonts. This site displays typefaces served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google states it does not use these requests to create profiles or serve advertising. No cookie is stored on your device by this.
- Website hosting. Like almost all websites, our hosting provider's servers may automatically keep standard access logs (for example your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security, troubleshooting and to keep the site running. This is server-side record-keeping, not a cookie, and is not used to identify or market to you.
If you would prefer to avoid the Google Fonts request entirely, the browser controls below let you block third-party requests, and we are able to serve fonts directly from our own site on request.
Your choices and how to control cookies
Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is nothing you need to switch off to protect your privacy on this site. You remain in full control of cookies generally through your web browser, which lets you block or delete cookies and restrict third-party requests. The "Help" menu in your browser explains how, and aboutcookies.org gives step-by-step guidance for each major browser.
Blocking cookies will not stop this website from working, as it does not rely on them.
If this changes
As the practice grows we may add tools such as website analytics, an embedded booking calendar or a video. Some of these can set cookies or similar technologies. If we introduce anything of that kind, we will update this policy first, describe clearly what it does, and — where the law requires your consent (for example for advertising cookies) — put a proper consent mechanism in place before it is switched on.
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, and the UK GDPR, certain low-risk cookies used solely for statistical purposes to improve a website no longer require prior consent, but you must still be told about them and given a way to opt out. Advertising and cross-site tracking cookies continue to require your consent. We will apply these rules to anything we add.
